![]() ![]() For that reason I avoided the breakfast area after the first 2 days. My only complaint is that the breakfast staff were very professional but couldn't crack a smile or say a "good morning" to save their life. I love that the balcony's are sectioned off so you can't see the people next door. Our room was ocean front which was great. We decided it was time to try something different so we booked this hotel for a 8 night stay. We've been coming to Ormond Beach for years and staying at the same hotel up the street. But with cars on the beach driving back and forth separating us from the ocean it sure didnt feel like oceanfront and we won't be staying again.… It was a very weird vibe not welcoming at all and we heard 2 other guests say that too. We never heard the words thank-you once, not once even checking in. They dont smile either, and dont seem happy to be there at all. The hotel itself is newer, and clean but the staff isnt friendly at all. Our kids are a little older but we saw many little ones running down to the ocean right in front of cars about to drive by. What a good deal doe them eh? There was a steady stream of cars driving up and down the beach each day and many parked right in front of this hotel. Eapeically when we saw peoe from the cars come through the hotel's pool atea to use our bathroom. Cheaper than renting a room for several days. Cars pay $25 a day to drive and park on the beach. All management photos even here make it look like a clear beach with no auto traffic. There is no mention of this on their website. And they park and set up shop right in front of the hotels. We were disappointed to learn Ormond Beach is like Daytona with CARS access driving up and down this beach daily. I did alot of checking for hotels since some beaches still didnt have pubic access due to hurricane damage.
